**WHAT IS MICRO-PIGMENTATION OR SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP?

Microblading, 3D Brow Embroidery, Brow Feathering is a form of cosmetic tattoo known as Micropigmentation or Semi-permanent makeup. The procedure that deposits color pigments below the very top layer of the skin. This technique uses the thinnest and smallest of needles on the brow area to create the illusion of a structured and natural brow.

**HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

Semi-permanent treatment that inserts pigments just underneath the epidermis layer of the skin. As time goes on, skin will regenerate new cells that will break down pigments causing color to fade. There are many factors that contribute to color retention that includes skin type, skin texture, health, lifestyle, sun exposure, etc. The results can last up to 6 months to a year or more. HOWEVER, It is important to continue with regular touch ups to gain the most out of your brow treatment. Your first follow up is required at 4-8 weeks after your initial procedure. A second follow up will serve as a refresher at 12-18 months from initial application. As I mentioned before, I can not express enough that the final result of your brow treatment varies on many different factors. Results will differ from person to person depending on each individual case scenario. The following listed can contribute greatly on how your skin retains color. Please take into consideration if you experience any of the conditions below that you may experience premature pigment loss. It is highly suggested to have an extra session of touch ups to keep your brows looking completed.

**IS IT PAINFUL?

There is some discomfort associated with the procedure. A topical anesthetic is used to numb the area before and during the procedure. People say the sensation is similar to getting threaded and/or tweezing.

**WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A CONSULTATION?

Brow/Lip shape, brow hair grade and color is analyzed, and the desired shape is drawn on with a specialized pencil. We will draw each strand to create a symmetrical, natural-looking brow that is custom-made for your bone structure, giving you the chance to see how dramatically new brows change your face. Once you are satisfied with the shape and thickness, the specialist consults with you on color. We mix and match the hue to ensure we get a shade that is closest to your natural hair color . We will also discuss the procedure, the after-care, how long it takes the skin to heal, and how to ensure the best results.

**WHO CANNOT RECEIVE TREATMENTS?

-Anyone under cancer treatments

-Severe Rosacea

-Eczema around the brow and eye area.

-Individuals on Accutane **You must be off accutane for 1 year.

-Please schedule your service at least 2 month after the laser removal service.

**IMPORTANT THINGS TO AVOID BEFORE/AFTER SEMI-PERMANENT PROCEDURE.

-Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, vitamin E, caffeine and alcohol) 24 hours prior to your appointment.

-Suspend use of Retin A, Retinol, glycolic treatments, AHA (alpha hydrolic acid) and salicylic acid skin care products 2 weeks before and after treatment.

-NO waxing, laser hair removal or electrolysis near brow area for 1 week prior.

-NO botox or fillers near brow area for 2 weeks prior.

-Apply the provided “REPAIR OINTMENT” to the area at least 1-2 times a day

-DO NOT apply Vaseline – this will make the area sweat, allowing the pigment to heal incorrectly during the 7 day healing process

-DO NOT itch, pick, scratch or rub the area or the colour will heal unevenly or cause scarring and infection.

-DO NOT expose the area to extreme heat or extreme cold until healed.

This includes sunbathing, tanning beds, saunas etc.

-Service can not be done on sunburned skin

-Refrain from sun exposure 2 weeks before and after.
