While these treatments can enhance your appearance, achieving perfect symmetry is often unrealistic. However, if you're experiencing persistent asymmetry that is noticeable and bothersome, it may be time to consider booking a follow up appointment. Here's a guide on when to reach out for a touch-up:
**For Wrinkle Relaxer:**
1. Wait for at least 12 days: After receiving your injections, it's essential to allow time for the full effects to develop. Although most people can feel onset between three to five days, it can take up to two weeks for the wrinkle relaxer to fully settle.
2. Assess asymmetry: If after waiting for 12 days, you still notice significant asymmetry in areas such as brow positioning, it may be time to consider a touch-up. Minor variations in facial symmetry are normal, but persistent and noticeable differences may warrant further treatment.
3. Call/text us: Reach out to your injector. Pictures are encouraged. During this evaluation, we can assess your concerns and determine if a touch-up is appropriate.
**For Lip Fillers:**
1. Wait for at least 10 days: After getting lip filler injections, it's common for swelling and asymmetry to persist in the initial days. Allow at 10 days for the swelling to subside and the filler to settle before evaluating the results.
2. Gently massage the lips: Massaging the lips can help redistribute the filler and alleviate asymmetry. However, if after 10 days of gentle massage, you still notice significant unevenness, it may be time to consider a touch-up.
3. Assess the results: Take a close look at your lips and evaluate the degree of asymmetry from both before and after your appointment. If it's still noticeable and bothersome, it's worth discussing with us.
4. Call/text us: Reach out to your injector. Pictures are encouraged. During this evaluation, we can assess the results and determine if additional filler or adjustments are needed.
Remember, no face can be 100% symmetric, and perfection should not be the expectation. However, if asymmetry is impacting your confidence and satisfaction with the results, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
