Ayurveda

In our first Ayurveda class, we will set our intentions for the course, discuss the principles of Ayurveda, learn about the multidimensional nature of life, explore our mind-body constitutions (known as doshas), and learn how to interpret the Dosha quiz to understand the body type you have and how to care for it. You are welcome to take notes, ask questions and bring your most pressing life issues to the class.

In Class Two, we will discuss Ayurvedic nutrition, including the power of digestion, the six tastes, eating to balance each dosha type, phytonutrients, and eating with awareness. You will learn practices for cultivating vibrant health and well-being

In our third class together, we will focus on cultivating emotional well-being, which includes these topics: happiness, our core emotional needs, the nature of emotions and how they relate to the doshas, the seven biological responses, conscious communication, and practices and tools for emotional clearing.

During the fourth class, we will explore how to tap into the healing power of the five senses: sound, touch, sight, taste, and smell. You will learn specific sensory practices to balance each of the doshas. You will also explore the sense of humor—using laughter as a form of medicine.

In our final class together, we will focus on Ayurvedic daily routines. The topics include the rhythms of nature, creating an optimal daily routines according to your doshas and aligning those routines with the seasons. Seasonal routines, detoxification, and restful sleep are all part of setting up your life for success. You will also be guided in the practices of an Ayurvedic lifestyle and what that looks like on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual level.

Meditation

This 2 hour and 15 minute session is designed for all clients and is offered live, in-person or via video chat with a recording of the session.
At the very start of your first session, I will introduce you to the origins, purpose, benefits, and mechanics of Primordial Sound Meditation as well as the science behind the technique. We will spend some time getting comfortable with the structure and you will be able to ask questions before beginning. This is your first step into self-care and wellness. This is what drew you here- intuition.
This class is an indepth dive into how our bodies, minds and spirits function as a whole mechanism. You will learn how to meditate and you will be meditating by the end of the class. ・ 1 hr 15 min

This is a private ceremony intended for anyone who has taken Class 1. You will receive your personal instruction in your Primordial Sound Mantra (PSM). This mantra is calculated using a vedic astrology computation and personalized on a document presented during the ceremony. You will try meditation for the first time using your Primordial Sound Mantra.
The class is about an hour to an hour and half long and all you need to bring is yourself.

In Class 3, you will learn the practical aspects of meditation, share your experience, receive answers to questions, and meditate with your instructor. You will also learn about the Ayurvedic lifestyle and cultivating the ethical and moral codes in building a life centered around God and healthy living.

In Class 4, you will attend a lecture about the higher states of consciousness that can be achieved with regular Primordial Sound Meditation practice. Your instructor will share Deepak Chopra's vision of these higher states. Primordial Sound Meditation is recommended for anyone who wishes to enjoy more profound peace, greater freedom, and mastery of life.

Pranayama

Recommended for All Dosha Types
This is a very simple breathing technique encouraging diaphragmatic breathing, allowing the lungs to expand by contracting the diaphragm. This movement provides healthy movement to abdominal organs and pelivc floor.

Known as Relaxing Breath, Nadi Shodhana helps balance both sides of the brain and body and removes emotional blockages in the body, which in return creates a calm and peaceful mind.
Some of the benefits of Nadi Shodhana include:

- Reduces stress and anxiety
- Reduces risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease
- Infuses the mind-body system with steady energy and oxygen

Recommended for All Dosha Types, and because of its soothing effect on the mind, it is especially beneficial for Pitta Dosha.
Ujjayi means “to be victorious” or “to gain mastery.” This gentle, rhythmic breath produces a pleasant, soothing sound–similar to the sound of ocean waves rolling in and out.
The benefits of Ujjayi breathing include:
- Calms and relaxes the mind
- Heats the core of the body
- Helps release feelings of irritation or frustration
- Stabilizes the cardiorespiratory system
- Balances the nervous system by toning the vagus nerve
- Helps coordinate breath with movement during asana practice

During this instructional session, you will learn how to focus the breath to sound like a bee and focus the mind on the ajna, the sixth chakra, located between the eyebrows. This sound and exhale emphasis helps to downregulate the nervous system to create calm.
The vibrational humming sound that this breathwork creates mimics the cosmic sound of “om,” which is a deeply sacred and meaningful syllable to yogis. So this practice is also believed to connect the practitioner with the entire cosmic universe.
