A PEth test is a specialized service designed to measure long-term alcohol consumption through a simple blood spot collection. This appointment-based test is ideal for individuals requiring accurate alcohol use assessments for personal, legal, or professional purposes. A PEth blood test measures the level of phosphatidyl ethanol, a direct alcohol biomarker which is found in human blood following alcohol consumption. We collect a blood sample via veinipuncture, then send to lab to determine if there are traces of alcohol in the blood. It detects use up to 4 weeks.
Results are available via email within 2-3 days of lab receiving specimen. Positive results will require a confirmation test This could delay the results by 1-2 days
