PLEASE NOTE: The form is about 10 pages long. It is best to not wait until the last minute to complete & submit these forms: you may want to ponder some of the questions, and you may need to gather relevant information. 

After I receive notice that you have scheduled, I will send a link for a secure portal called doxy.me, which we will use to meet, remotely, for our first session.

You probably don't want to eat a large meal before your session. Wear comfortable clothing, and plan on having a quiet evening at home after your session. 

When you arrive at 1650 State Farm Blvd., Charlottesville, VA,, come to the larger white building closest to State Farm Blvd, and to the entry closest to same. Come up the stairs, and walk to the left. You will see a door and a sign near the door that says "The Healing Studio". Come up the stairs, and walk to the open door to the left. I will meet you there, or if you are early, go to our waiting room within the suite. I look forward to seeing you.

We'll go over the recommendations I have for you to achieve your goals. This will include where to buy products, how much to take, how often, how to do other self-care therapies at home, and more. I'll then teach you how to do the Maya Abdominal massage, so that you can do it at home. You'll also receive some treatment time during this session.

Massage during pregnancy provides much needed nurturing during this special time. Prenatal massage therapy, like all of my sessions, is offered in a quiet, comfortable room, and is performed while the mother-to-be is lying on her back and side, supported by pillows and bolsters.

Sessions include an eclectic blend of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Connective Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point, Swedish, Maya Abdominal Therapy (adapted for pregnancy).

Many of the experiences of the perinatal period can have lifelong implications, and are therefore integrated into all my sessions with babies, children and adults. This work is best entered into before the child is 4 or 5 years old. Mind-body imprints that can come from that period of time include: Difficulty conceiving, Artificial reproductive technology, Difficult pregnancies surgical approaches, breech deliveries, twin dynamics, loss chemicals used during birth, prematurity birth Attachment: understanding skin to skin, separations like NICU experiences, and all the attachment patterns.
